Protection Diode
A protection diode is a type of Zener diode. Zener diodes can be used not only as protection diodes but also as constant voltage regulators. Protection diodes are specifically designed to protect electronic circuits from ESD and other transient pulses. Protection diodes protect electronic circuits from damage in the event of overvoltage, overcurrent, and surge.

ESD Protection Diode Diodes mainly used for electrostatic discharge (ESD) countermeasures. Protects integrated circuits, etc. from high-voltage ESD intrusion from USB cables, etc. ESD diodes absorb abnormal voltages from interfaces, external terminals, etc., preventing circuit failures and protecting equipment. Suitable for absorbing and suppressing static electricity or short pulse voltages.ESD diodes are a simple, low-cost method of protecting electronic equipment from unavoidable electrostatic discharge at common contact points such as ports and buttons.General purpose ESD protectionHornby offers reliable system level Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) circuit protection solutions to meet stringent requirements.Hornby ESD protection diodes offer low clamp voltage, low capacitance and low leakage current to protect your system interconnections from external ESD threats.

TVS DiodeTVS Diodes Protect Sensitive Electronic Components from Damaging Effects of Transient VoltageTransient voltage suppression diodes are silicon avalanche devices often chosen for their small capacitance, fast response time (low clamping voltage) and low leakage current. Transient voltage suppressors can be unidirectional or bidirectional and they are often used in ESD and circuit protection ICs.TVS: Two modes of operation to best fit your applicationTransient voltage suppressors have two different modes of operation:Normal mode, where the device is transparent to the application (low leakage current)Surge suppression mode, in which the overvoltage is cut off at the clamp voltage valueKey ApplicationsPower SuppliesPower ManagementAutomotive ApplicationsTelecom Circuits

Zener Diode ManufacturerZener diodes are made from glass passivated chips and are assembled in highly reliable, rugged hermetically sealed housing structures. They have high mechanical strength and are stable under harsh environmental conditions.Zener diodes are critical for voltage regulation and circuit protectionThese diodes are key components in many electronic circuits due to their unique voltage regulation capabilities. They are mainly used for voltage regulation, reference and stabilisation. When this type of diode is reverse biased, it exhibits controlled breakdown, allowing current to maintain the voltage across the diode at a level close to the Zener voltage.ApplicationZener diodes are used in a variety of applications such as voltage clamp applications, solar photovoltaic systems, switching power supplies, rectifiers, detectors, motor drives, and more.
